Condolences
I just found out.. I’m crushed.. I knew Dave since 2000 from the work I did at the track.. I have never laughed so hard working with a guy in all my like.. so extremely sorry for your loss and the world is a little less happier for me
First to Dave's family let me say we are sorry for your loss. Dave was a good friend to us. We will miss his smile, his stories and I will miss his hugs. I will miss teasing him on the day of the squirrel hunt and he will be missed by the guys on his team. I know wherever he is he's bringing a smile to someone's face and telling them a story and if there's a bar he will be standing at the end of it.
My name is Bob Brown, I worked with Dave for 25 years, we share a lot of our personal life's while in the military, don't think most people understood what we went though and where our minds were, we were trouble by what we had seen and what we had done. We were not treated very well on our return to civilians life. People wondered why Dave was the way he was, He drank a lot and was never able to maintain a normal relationship, he was always searching as I'm for something and I hope Dave has found it finally he has suffered enough,
Dave and I spent hours working together,I always enjoyed our times together, very few people understood what was in our minds.
We talked about what we had seen and how scared we were but we never wavered, some of us made it back home others didn't, I think we felt guilty we did.
Dave may you rest in peace you deserve it, Love you Dude
Bob
Sorry for your loss. My name is Rich Mayer and along with my buddy Jim Manotti we are the Pennsylvania Hunters that have been coming up to Watkins Glen for decades. We never failed to stop in Maria's several times when we were up there and visiting with Dave as he held court down at the end of the bar. Every year toasting with the blackberry brandy- one of the highlights and traditions of our trip to NY. We missed him very much this past year and will greatly miss him in the future.
I worked with David at the track. He was an absolute riot and made all of our days bright. The world is no longer as bright as it once was. He is a real loss to this world. I'm so sorry for his passing. Best wishes to you all.
So sorry to hear of Dave’s passing! Our thoughts and prayers are with the family!

I had the pleasure of working with Davey at WGI for 4 years. He was a well loved, kind and funny gentleman. He would pick flowers at the track and bring them to us in the ops office to our gardeners dismay☺️ My condolences to the family.
