Obituary of Wendell Bunn

Wendell A. Bunn, infamously known as "Unc", 81, of Burdett, NY died on September 2nd, 2022. He was born August 15th, 1941 to Harold and Francis Bunn of Venice, NY. He was predeceased by both his parents, his brother Lyle Bunn, sister Jean Wilcox, and brother Dale Bunn. Wendell was a retired construction worker. Wendell is survived by his beloved nieces and nephews and his sister-in-law, Margaret Bunn. From Jean Wilcox, Jacqueline (Fred) Lowe of Rodman, NY, Joanne (Randy) Lavere of Zephyrhills, FL, Jeanine (Arnie) Ebdon of Lake Wales, FL, Joyce (Jim) Jennings of Adams, NY, and Robin (Al) Hahn of Charleston, WV. From his brother Dale Bunn, Terry (Juan) Bunn Gomez of Lexington, KY, Cheryl Bunn Benk of Watkins Glen, NY, Rich (Wendy) Cope of NJ, Lisa (Wylie) Burge of VA, Jeanette (Guy) Angelini of Penfield, NY, and Samantha Hunter (Rob) of Spencer, NY. His great-nephews who were more like his grandchildren; Ryan Benk, Tyler Gomez, Eric Benk, Matthew Gomez, Brendan Hunter, Scout Burge, Chad Hunter, and Reese Burge. Wendell loved his nieces and nephews as though they were his own children. Wendell was notoriously known as "Unc" to most everyone that knew him, and most will have some sort of funny story to share. He enjoyed walking his dog Ce Ce, who has been his companion for many years and playing cards with his neighbors. A private celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wendell's name to the Humane Society of Schuyler County, 124 Marina Dr., Montour Falls, NY 14865.
