Condolences
To Mike's family: Am just learning of Mike's passing. I knew Mike since his beginning relationship with Carrie in 1965...some of his family...Fr. Tom, Posey, his Dad. His Irish clan he was so ptoud of. And all of his kids when you were small, especially Mikey and Patrick. Kept in touch with Carrie until few years ago and now can't locate her, sadly. Mike loved his career as Sheriff and I am proud to have known him. God bless Mike. God bless you all. Please contact me: Karon Davin. 585-851-1088
I had the privilege of being Mike's next door neighbor and great friend for 20 years. He was a true friend and I had the utmost respect for him. He was the definition of integrity and humility. Just plain one of the greatest people I have ever known. Condolences to his family.
I got to do a lot of ride a longs with Mike and many of the Schuyler County deputies in the late 60's when I was on the Schuyler County Sheriff's Posse. It was the start of my law enforcement career. Mike was always professional and good natured. Rest in peace sir. Thank you for your service
Kate and family, I'm sorry to hear that your dad passed away. My cousin was one of the victims of the 1992 murders and your dad was so instrumental in leading our very small town through an unbelievable tragedy. You must be so very proud of him. I am thinking of you and hope you're able to gather your family together and share all your memories. Beautiful tribute to your dad.
Condolences to the Maloney Family. Sheriff Maloney played a major role in the success of the Southern Tier Law Enforcement Academy. It was an honor to work under his direction.
After working the race track security for several years, was so proud when Sheriff Maloney offered me a job. Spent the next nearly 30 years with him. He was a great boss and friend. He will be greatly missed.

I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of Sheriff Maloney. As a child we were neighbors to the Maloney clan. Mr. Maloney would always have a smile and say hi and he would stop and chat with Dad frequently. I hadn’t seen him for many years when just a few years ago I ran into him in Watkins. He stopped and talked to me and called me by name. I couldn’t believe he remembered my name after all that time. I will always remember him and see his smiling face. Thinking of you all.

Very sad loss of a very great man. To the Maloney family and all that had the pleasure to know him. He cared so much for his family, community and the office he served and protected. Will be very much missed.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. So many wonderful memories of being neighbors on Shorewood Dr. Mike was so intelligent and had a heart of gold. The obituary is such a beautiful tribute. I'm keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. RIP my friend.
I just want to reach out and let all of Mike’s family know how sorry Jim and I were to hear of his passing. He was a friend and a compassionate person. He did so much for our community and our schools. He was a person I could always talk to about things that were going on at Seneca Lodge. He always gave me good advice and often helped me smooth ruffled feathers. Mike will be missed by a lot of people but we sure do have some wonderful memories.
I had a special friendship with Mike and will always remember him for his composure under pressure. We would be at the services except we are e route to Florida. God Bless Carrie and Mike as well as the entire Maloney clan.
