Obituary of David A. Lynch

David A. “Poppy” Lynch, age 73, of Odessa, NY, entered unto rest on Wednesday, July 26^th, 2023 at Schuyler Hospital. 

David was born in Ithaca, NY on May 18^th, 1950, the son of the late Herman and Esther Lynch.  He married Suzanne Michener on July 29^th, 1988 in Cayutaville.  He was a salesman, driver and cooler man for Pepsi  from 1969 to 2017 and for Dandy Mini Mart from 2017 to the present.  David was a hardworking family man, and loved spending time with his grandchildren and grilling. 

David is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Suzanne (Michener) Lynch; daughters, Jennifer (Ray) Hubbell of Enfield, Cassandra (Justin) Dunlop of Tyrone, Samantha (Barry) Scott of Millport, and Sheena (Robert) Kio of Watkins Glen; sons, David (Wanda) Lynch of Thomasville, NC and Christopher (Jolinda) Lynch of Cayutaville; 31 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sisters, Sharron (Lynch) Tuttle and Kathy (Lynch) Allis; as well as, several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his sister, Constance (Lynch) Auble; brothers, Herman B. Lynch Jr., Michael Lynch and Robert E. Lynch and nephew , Earl “Boo” Tuttle Jr. all of Ithaca-Enfield.

Friends and family may call from 4pm to 7pm on Friday, August 18^th, 2023 at Haughey-Wood & Zinger Funeral Home, 119 5^th St., Watkins Glen, NY  14891.  A celebration of David’s life will be held at 2pm on Saturday, August 19^th, 2023 at the Lynch home, 209 Speedway, Odessa, NY 14869.  Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX  75284-0692.  Memories of David may be shared with his family and friends at haugheywoodzinger.com
