Obituary of John D. Bower

John Dryden Bower, 65, of East Steamburg, NY passed away unexpectedly in his home on July 16th 2024. John was born in Ithaca, NY on October 23th 1959. He was the son of Robert Bower and Mary Bower. John is survived by his older brother Jim Bower, and his nieces, Heather and Lauren, and nephews Nicholas and Neill. John was devoted to being the life of the party and made sure everyone around him knew it. His relentless optimism for life was infectious to all those around him and his presence was often heard with the radio dial cranked to 11, blasting rock and roll on his front porch every day the weather permitted. His passion for music was deep both as an admirer as well as a musician, occasionally hooking up his guitar amp and jamming out for all who could hear. He was a caring individual and regularly kept in touch with even the most distant of relatives. His ambitions in life were boundless and his absence will be felt.
