Such an awesome woman. She was so loved and respected by so many of us. My memory, and many of her kids know this, was when my own mother passed in 1987. Vera came to my house with a huge pan of her peppers, potatoes and sausage. We all loved it. She was kind enough to share her recipe and I have been making it ever since. Vera will be missed!
