Dahl and her son Marc Evan Dahl. She is survived by her nieces Kathryn (David) Sorensen of Lino Lakes, MN and Nancy (Michael) Blood of St. Francis, MN; nephew Robert (Linda) Hammar Jr. of Elk River, MN; cousins Charles (Maria) Dupras of May's Landing, NJ; Michael (Carol) Dupras of Mays Landing, NJ; and Ronald (Louise) Dupras of Lawrenceville, NJ.

Elaine embraced life in many ways. With Mikkel's career, they lived in several areas of the world, from Sao Paulo, Brazil to Rome Italy, where she absorbed different cultures and experiences. They landed back in the U.S. where Elaine enjoyed a career as a deputy clerk for West Amwell Township, New Jersey. Upon retirement, Elaine and Mikkel moved to Watkins Glen, NY. She was active in the Schuyler County Historical Society, was a member of the Resurrection Choir of the Shell Ministry and the Schuyler Hospital Auxiliary for 20 years. A day did not go by that she did not complete at least one crossword puzzle. Elaine will be remembered the most for her kind and giving spirit as she helped others by driving them to shop, to doctor appointments and taking them to church.
