Obituary of John D. Fazzary

John D. Fazzary, age 93 of Watkins Glen, NY passed away peacefully on September 25th, 2021 at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY. John was born in Watkins Glen, NY on July 25th, 1928, the son of the late Dominic and Mary (Pastore) Fazzary. He was a graduate of Watkins Glen High School Class of 1946. He served in the US Army from 1950-1952. John was a school bus driver for Watkins Glen Central School for 55 years and worked at Jimmy's Radio and Electric as the TV Repairman for 50 years. John enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox, horse racing and loved playing golf and cards. He enjoyed attending High School Basketball games (that his son John coached). In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Shirley A. (Yaw) on September 9th, 2003 and his siblings Jimmy, Frank, Mary, Anthony, Michael and Rose. John is survived by his children, Mickey Fazzary, Patti (Donna) Fazzary and John (Cathy) Fazzary; grandchildren, Jessica (Adrian) Moreno, Erin Fazzary, Allyson Hancock, Jonathon Fazzary, and Alynn Silliman; great grandchildren, Nakendra, Adelin and Luna Grace and Monico; brother, Joseph Fazzary; as well as several nieces and nephews. A private gathering for his family will be at Haughey Wood & Zinger Funeral Home, Watkins Glen, NY. A graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery in Watkins Glen will be held on Saturday, October 2nd, 2021 at 12:30 pm. Memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Watkins Glen Fire Department, 201 N.
