Condolences
Wow, I have not seen Dave or Sandy in many, many years....two of the nicest people in the World...Dave will always be remembered by me as an incredible gentleman, awesome family man and a stand up guy that would never say a bad word about anyone. Sandy and your beautiful girls will be in my prayers! Joe Barrick
Sandy and Family,
We are heartbroken that God chose to call Dave home. He is one of the finest men I've ever known. His smile could warm a room. He was our quite leader. The Chairman of the Trustees. He took his job very serious and lead by example. Patient, kind and a great sense of humor. He was a role model, not only to his children and grand children, but to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be forever missed. May God Bless all of you!
My husband and I just returned home from our winter away. Unfortunately, this is the information we came home to. Many, many fun years with Dave and John and their mom and dad. Shocking news to say the least. I am so sorry Sandy for your loss. I hope that the wonderful memories your family have had will help to get you all thru this sad event. This certainly has been a crazy past couple of years! Condolences to Betty and John also. Nancy (VanAmburg) Rodabaugh
Dave will always be remembered as a great guy. Growing up in Watkins Glen and then working with Dave all those years at Corning was exceptional; times I have never forgotten. I'm sorry for your loss.
The short time I knew Dave, it was a pleasure working with him building Kooklaroc's. He was always very open to ideas and encouraged me in many ways to do my best. He never had a sour word. His bright smile and acceptance was a boost to my confidence - even in such a major project. I think he liked my work and that means a lot to me. I only wish I could have spent more time shooting "the bull" with him - he was just a really sincere man and I'm so sorry for the people closest to him for their loss. I'm just glad I got to meet him. RIP David - thank you for being a great human being.
Sandy, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Dave was a great neighbor here in our Port Orange community and a true example of servanthood. He cared for all of us. I’m so sorry for your loss.
My heartfelt sympathy to the Cherock family at this sad time. Johnny and David were long time friends growing up in Watkins Glen as were their parents and cousins. David always had that big friendly smile. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Shirley Lee Ormsbee
